U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe met on Monday, December 10 with the newly appointed Governor of Malopolska Jerzy Miller in Krakow. From there, the Ambassador traveled to Skawina, where he met with Mayor Adam Najder. He also stopped in Zator to meet with Mayor Zbigniew Biernat, and in Rząska to meet with Professor Czeslaw Dzwigaj, a sculptor and author of many Pope John Paul II monuments in Poland and abroad. The Ambassador returned to Krakow in the late afternoon and met with Balice Air-Base Commandant Col. Stanislaw Żakowski. At the U.S. Consulate in Krakow, the Ambassador had a meeting with Jakub Link-Lenczowski and Wojciech Michnik, both representing the think-tank, “U.S. Matters.” In the evening, Ambassador Ashe visited the “Living on” exhibition at the Museum Galicja.
