Ambassador Victor Ashe paid a courtesy call on Poland’s newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski at the Foreign Ministry on November 21.  Ambassador Ashe congratulated Minister Sikorski on his appointment to the ministry and expressed the interest of the U.S. government in continuing its close relationship with Poland as a strategic ally and partner, both in Europe and worldwide.  The ambassador and the minister discussed a broad range of issues of mutual interest, including Iraq and Afghanistan and Missile Defense.
