U.S. Embassy Announces New Fellows Program
14 July 2006The Embassy’s Agricultural Counselor Ed Porter is pleased to announce the commencement of a Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellows Program for Poland. The goal of this program is to promote food security and economic growth by increasing scientific knowledge and collaborative research to improve agricultural productivity.
Under this program, qualified Polish scientists, faculty and policy makers will be selected for educational fellowships lasting four to six weeks at participating land grant universities, government research facilities and other institutions in the United States.
The establishment of this program for Poland is the result of close cooperation between the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Warsaw Agricultural University.
