Ambassador Ashe Leads Business Outreach to U.S.
22 February 2006Ambassador Victor Ashe will lead a business outreach mission to Los Angeles, New York City and Hartford, Connecticut March 6-10, 2006. The Ambassador will be accompanied by Roman Rewald, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, Henryka Bochniarz, President of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers, and Sebastian Mikosz, Executive Vice President, PAIiIZ along with Embassy staff. During the Mission, the delegation will meet with business executives to discuss commercial opportunities between the U.S. and Poland. The two countries enjoy a robust commercial relationship with over $1 billion worth of exports from the U.S. last year including strong showings in the safety and defense, transportation equipment, environmental technologies and consumer products sectors. As well the U.S. is the second largest investor in Poland with approximately $14 Billion invested since 1990. The purpose of the mission is to alert American businesses to commercial opportunities in Poland and to provide insights on best practices in competing in this growing market.
