U.S. Ambassador Offers Condolences On the Loss of Polish Officer in Iraq
6 November 2003 U.S. Ambassador Christopher R. Hill has sent President of the
Republic of Poland Aleksander KwaĆniewski a letter expressing his
condolences on the death of the Polish soldier who was killed today in
Iraq.
The text of the letter follows:
Your Excellency,
Please
accept my deepest condolences on the death of Polish Army Major
Hieronim Kupczyk, killed by hostile fire today in Iraq. We are humbled
by his sacrifice in service to his country, on behalf of the Iraqi
people and freedom-loving people everywhere.
Please extend our condolences to Major Kupczyk's family, who will be in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
