Iraq's Minister of Trade Ali Alawi will conduct a news conference on Thursday, February 26, 2004, to discuss investment and contracting opportunities in Iraq. Dr. Alawi is in Warsaw to speak with both business and government officials about potential economic cooperation between Iraqi and Polish firms. Minister Alawi is expected to offer an overview of the current Iraqi economy, as well as the outlook for the future, including investment potential in specific sectors. Dr. Alawi will be joined by Director of Private Sector Development for the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) Tom Foley, who will also speak at the seminar sponsored by the Polish National Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy.
