Ambassador Ashe toured Kampinos National Park on November 25, 2005. He met with Mr. Jerzy Misiak, Director of Kampinos since 1988. The tour included the park’s Educational Center, Palmiry Cemetery, and an extensive hike. Ambassador Ashe and Director Misiak discussed their commitment to the environment and the value of national parks. Director Misiak and park rangers provided detailed information on the park’s topography, flora, and fauna. Kampinos National Park enjoys a sister-park relationship with the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
