During a two day visit to Krakow November 6-7, U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe met the newly appointed Governor of Malopolska, Maciej Klima, and opened the international conference titled “Immigrants – Us and Them” at the Higher European College (Wyzsza Szkola Europejska). In addition, Ambassador Ashe met Zofia Golubiew, Director of the National Museum in Krakow, and toured the 20th Century Polish Art and the Decorative Art collections at the museum. He also visited the studio of Malgorzata Swolkien, whose works are very popular among ceramics and glass art collectors. Ambassador Ashe also paid a short courtesy call on the owners of The Starmach Gallery in Podgorze.
