U.S. Mission Sponsors Democratic and Economic Seminar in Krapkowice

Cultural Attache Patrick Lahey in Krapkowice

Officers from the Embassy in Warsaw and the Consulate in Krakow attended a seminar in Krapkowice on democratic and economic development at the local level.

The seminar is organized by the Krapkowice Society for a United Europe and the municipality of Krapkowice.

The seminar brings together local government leaders from the US and Poland to discuss approaches to common problems.

The seminar is in part fruit of the USAID Local Government Partnership Program, which introduced many of the principle organizers to eachother back in the 1990’s.

The Embassy contributed a small grant to partially facilitate administrative logistics.
