Iraq Contracting Workshop Brings Prime Contractors And Polish Companies Together

Five U.S. Companies attended a Contracting Workshop at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw on Tuesday, May 25, seeking potential sub-contractors for their work in the oil, electricity, telecom and securities sectors in Iraq. After introductory comments by Polish officials and CPA PMO Communications Director Jonathan Thompson and U.S. Commerce Assistant Secretary William Lash, Polish companies had the chance to face-to-face with U.S. prime contractors. Several prime contractors have been in direct contact with potential Polish subcontractors in many sectors since the conference. Still unknown is whether any subcontracts will be signed as a result of the conference, but Polish and U.S. companies commented expressed positive feedback about the opportunity to meet serious Polish companies.
