On October 20-21, U.S. Embassy Warsaw Deputy Chief of Mission Kenneth Hillas participated in the academic year opening ceremonies for Wszechnica Mazurska, an institute of higher education in Olecko, Poland. Hillas delivered remarks on “Cooperation of American Educational Institutions and the Business Sector in the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology” at a ‘business forum’ held as part of the opening ceremonies. Deputy Chief of Mission Hillas also joined Sister Francesca Onley, President of Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in dedicating Wszechnica Mazurska’s newly built flag quadrangle featuring the Polish and American flags flying side by side in honor of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a relationship between the two institutions.
